Screen tearing in windows?

Hello. I've only just noticed it today but I seem to be getting really bad screen tearing in windows.

 

Been playing some rocket league and it's fine on that. It just seems to be in windows... most noticable when watching videos.
 

I have the most recent nvidia drivers available from geforce experience, 2x 970s in SLI and a dual monitor setup (it happens on both monitors)

 

Anyone know what's causing the issue?

 

It's REALLY distracting!

does it happen if you've only got one 970 in?

Just tried it and i think it happens even with one 970 in.

I have no idea why its only just started happening.
