Looking For CHEAP Camera

Crush86

Hello,

I'm completely new to the forum. I love the YouTube channels though and have watched for a long time!

OK, now to the meat and potatoes of my question.

I want to record some lectures at my school. I'll be pretty close to the instructor. What I want is some suggestions for a CHEAP camcorder that will yield decent picture and sound. The quality doesn't have to be immaculate. Just as long as I can re-watch them, hear the instructor, and read the writing on the board from assuming about 20-40 feet away I'll be happy. I'm a college student, so yah, I'm looking for the most affordable options available. I don't know SQUAT about cameras, and I'm just really strapped for time, even in summer with my two jobs I have atm. If anyone can expedite this process of finding a good functioning cheap camera I'd be SO appreciative.

Thank you to anyone who takes the time to post and help me out. I really can't thank you enough!

Any of the Sony HDR camcorders, Panosonic, JVC, all will do.  They're small, and the mic pickup will be pretty good if you use it in a classroom.

Here's a list of some good ones, pick some models you like and search online for some user reviews.

Yep +1, small cheap camcorder should do the trick, only takes a second to turn on zoom in on the board/teacher and hit record and should give you a decent amount of record time, plus you can grab a few spare batteries/sd cards if you need
