New Build Windows

I am building my first computer and I need windows can I just take my buddies windows cd or do I need to buy my own.

If your friend has used his activation key then you will need to purchase another one, but otherwise the physical disk that Win10 is installed from is able to be used on any PC - it will just require an activation code.

You can take the CD, but not the code.
