Okay, so I just have a few questions before I upgrade to Win 10

1. How to I make sure Win 10 installs on my ssd and not my hdd

2. If I just do the upgrade will I still have all my old files and programs and what not.

3. Is it even worth it? (I've read that a lot of people are having issues)

Thank you for taking the time to answer! :D

2. Yes

3. On the tech preview, boot times were significantly slower than on Windows 7, not sure if it's fixed.

huh im running a seagate sshd and my boot time is around 10 seconds since build 10074

I have win 10 on one of my barracuda drives, which in hind sight isn't a fair comparison since Win7 is on my SSD. The point still kind of stands, because win7 takes no more than 15 seconds from POST to desktop, where as windows 10 takes about 10-15 seconds on the boot screen, then goes black for a few more seconds, then the lock screen (which remains frozen for a few more seconds), then a minute or two to become fully operational. The win10 drive has about 800GB of data on it, and it's defragmented regularly.

i guess it depends then

my windows 7 takes about a minute to boot while windows 10 only takes around 10 seconds

Okay so I just tried installing win 10 and I restarted to update and everything and then it just black screened me and i had to do a couple restarts to make it back to my desktop :/

I unplugged my hdd, and strarted the update with my ssd only

It gave me an error code, I can't get it again but it was something like c9000-c001 or something like that
