How to reformat?

So I got viruses on my new pc and my dad told me that reformatting will get rid of the viruses. Is he correct? If so how do I do this?

Yeah he's right, reformatting completely wipes your drive clean. I'd try to restore Windows first that way you don't have to reinstall it, though.

Me: Yeah I just really can't get my H220 working again, I've tried everything that was suggested in the forum.

Well unless you 0 the hard drive I don't think so but I could be wrong. To truly rid data on your hard drive you need to write over were the data was and formatting it doesn't do that, that's how data recovery tools can get back your data.

If your PC has a second storage drive I think you might consider also cleaning-up that drive.
