650W should be plenty - get something reputable like a SeaSonic S12G or G-series. M12II also works.

is that enough for i7 and 2 980?

For 2 (I didn't read) go with 750-800W.

That's just efficiency, the PSU is OK, but if you're willing to spend more get the G2: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220g20750xr

Also yes, I'm counting OC

in my country the cheapest 850watt power supply is the cooler master 80+ gold.... so are 850watts enough or do i need 1000? :)

Which cooler master power supply? Honestly, a SeaSonic S12G 750W (like mine) should be more than capable of handling that as it's made for SLI setups - 4 6+2 pins and about 700W on the +12V rail. It's good quality and reliable - 5 yea warranty and almost 80+ plat

You'll be fine on 750W. Make sure you get a decent PSU and you can check out the PSU whitelist in my sig.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

the S12G 750W has 4x6+2 pins so 4x8-pin yes. No idea about the CM.

but are 750w enough for 2 980 and a oc i7?

Of course, I can put 2x 280s easily. My system uses 400-450W max. 2x 980 uses around 450-500W so you will be using around 600W total. Therefore there is enough headroom.

Keep in mind that SeaSonic underspects their units - the S12G 750W can pull a stable 800W with ease but it shouldn't be pushed that far if you ask me. it's also very efficient thank to the quality components and such so it won't be an issue, Among the best PSUs on the market. Don't believe me? See for yourself.
