Youtube comment notification

not sure if there is a section to ask this in so its here

 

ever since youtube changed to the new clear version my notifications have been screwy. I translate for a channel so I kind of relied on anyone who replies to my post or +mentions me or whatever to show up on the bell icon notification in youtube. lately nothing shows up in my notification it might catch 1 or 2 events but it misses so many that I know of

 

I looked at my notification settings and all the check marks are there untouched set to notify for +mentions and replies to my thread and posts etc anyone else having these issues? is it just me?

 

I used to ignore notifications and thought it was the most annoying thing but now that I'm translating I rely on this a lot.

bump  any thoughts on how to fix this? I really need these notifications back I even went so far as to uncheck and recheck the mentions and replies buttons
