Optical Audio Out issues after installing W10

I have done a fresh install of w10 from w7, and now I am having issues with the optical audio.

When any audio starts playing, the speakers make a slight pop and miss the first half a second of the audio, particularly annoying for windows sounds.

Then 10 seconds after the audio is done playing, the slight pop happens again.

 

This has happened on 3 versions of the audio driver, the one that windows had when installed, the one windows updated to, and the one downloaded from ASUS's website. Not sure what else I can do, I never had this issue when I was on windows 7.
