Hello, I'm going to build my own system. I do casual gaming mainly League of Legends for now but might try out some new games in the future. Also, browsing (not beyond 20-25 tabs), Google docs, MS Office, watching movies, listening to music, Youtube and just normal stuff.

CPU: Intel Pentium G3258

CPU cooler: Scythe Ashura

Motherboard: MSI Z97 Guard Pro ATX
Memory: G. Skill Ripjaws X 8gb (2x4) DDR3 1600 CL9

Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB, Samsung EVO 840 120gb or Crucial BX100 250

Video Card: Gigabyte GTX 750 Ti 2gb

Power Supply: Corsair X 600W 80+ Bronze Semi modular

Case: Deepcool Kendomen

I wanted an i5 but it costs a lot and I don't know if I would notice massive difference in terms of daily tasks and I wanted the option to get decent fps if I play games. I know i5 is better but I don't know if it is worth the cost..

I would like to know your thoughts and opinion about the parts I chose. Recommendations and suggestions are appreciated!

Thank you.

Swap out your motherboard if you are going to use the G3258. It doesn't need a Z97 board. There are H81 boards out there that can overclock the G3258 that are much cheaper. It is highly regarded that the Hyper 212 evo is a good starter cpu cooler and I would suggest you grab that as well as I have never heard of your cooler. Also grab the 850 evo instead of your choices. It is cheaper and newer. Lastly, grab an EVGA psu, many people regard the Corsair CX series to be bad. (I have one in my system that hasn't had issues.) Otherwise you have a decently balanced build.

Mudkip: CPU: i5-4670k; Cooler: CM Hyper 212 Evo; Memory: 16GBs Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz; Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97X UD5H; GPU: ASUS DCUII 770 2GB @ 1254MHz; HDD: Seagate Barracude 1TB; PSU: CX750M; Case: ThermalTake A31 Chaser Thunder

It's good but I would defaantly upgrade CPU in the next year to maybe a i5 4460 and a gpu upgrade to a 960 or 970 MAKE SURE ITS 4gb of vRAM

Thank you! I'll try to. :)

Oh I didn't know that H81 is compatible. Thanks for the advice, I'll try to find some H81 boards with good price that are compatible with G3258. I can't find any EVGA power supply in the online store I was looking at but I'll try to find if there are any in the physical stores I'll explore. Which model is good? Unfortunately though, the 850 evo here in my country cost more. :(

See if one of these are available near you.

He won't be needing a 960 or 970. A 750ti is a good card, especially for someone playing LoL.

Although I recommend getting an i3 instead of the pentium

Don't get an aftermarket cpu cooler, don't get an hdd and an ssd pick one for the moment, DON'T get a z97 board, get a cheapish mobo. Then get an i3, and a 960. The g3258 is way too overhyped, and the 750 ti is extremely weak, I honestly believe that during crazy teamfights, that pc build you have listed, will stutter. My friend had a 560ti and used to stutter on league, and that's more powerful than the 750 ti. Go big now so you don't have to upgrade 2 parts later.
