$1000 Build Help

Pretty sure the build for my friend is fine, but it is always a good idea to get another pair of eyes. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/scwwbv

 

BEFORE YOU SAY ANYTHING

- He doesn't want an SSD

- He doesn't want SLI in the future

- HE REALLY WANTS AMAZON

- 750W is overkill, but EVGA is high quality and the second cheapest PSU on amazon was $65 so it was worth $5 extra

- He only ever wants 16GB, so two dimm slots are fine

- I know the 1231v3 doesn't cost anymore, but it is barely an upgrade and I don't want compatibility issues

- Gemini over the Hyper 212 Evo because I want to make sure there is no clearance issues

- I usually prefer the 390X, but it's a small case and I don't want heat issues

- He doesn't care about looks, raw performance

get a R9 380 ITX from sapphire, or a R9 380 full size. Those cards are generally pretty cool.

That or get the R9 390X, downclock it a few % to save power and heat
