I say you did well. Might want to check out the Asus PB238Q monitor. That one has no DVI if you were planning on using DVI instead of HDMI.

Yes, according to pcpartpicker you're only at about 460W, which gives you plenty of room to OC. If you may go SLI in the future you may want to get a bigger PSU though.

Like I said, in the future :)

If you see yourself eventually getting another 780 get prob 750-850 if you want to be safe.

Get a cheaper motherboard. If you must have the red/black, get the G45 gaming. If you want good sound, just get a cheap dedicated sound card,.

There's cheaper ram as well. Brand does not affect performance. The cheapest CL9 1600 ram will do.

The 780 is overkill for 1080p. A 770/7970 would max out pretty much everything at 1080p.

You could get a 750/850w bronze for the same price that would support sli/crossfire for the same price as the 650w gold.

If you're sticking with the 780, you might as well grab a 1440p display. Otherwise, get a 770/7970 and just add one later down the road for more power. The 780 isn't exactly a good value.

Eventually I'm getting a 1440p but this is my first modern build so I don't have any current monitors and 1440 is out of my budget st the moment....
