Well well well...

I got screwed by google this time.

I just updated to android 4.3 with my galaxy nexus (rooted), and it got stuck in a bootloop.

I've tried wiping cache partition but no resaults.

While it was installing the update i got multiple messages from CWM recovery that the zip file signature was incorrect and untrusted, even though this was an OTA update.

I can probably fix this problem by wiping the cache partition, doing a factory reset and manually flashing the 4.3 image. But I don't want to loose all my data.

Any wizards out here who perhaps knows how to break a bootloop with the nexus without having to factory reset?

Much appreciated.

Maybe a possibility to sideload the update while in recovery?

I have done an OTA update with CWM installed, instead it worked the other way around. The update worked fine but it broke my root and CWM :x

I have now reverted back to an old OASP backup i had laying around.

I'm now back to version 4.2.2 and will remain that way untill they fix the update.

I don't know whether it's a problem on my end or google's end.

Maybe in the future i'll backup my data and do a manual update.

you can already install cwm and root the 4.3 rom for the galaxy nexus...just install the update and completely remove your root and cwm...then re root and install cwm...

With both suggestions i'd have to flash stock, which i don't want initially.

The ideal situation would be to flash just the update via CWM or something. So i don't have to flash stock but it just updates like normal.

I could obviously backup everything, flash stock, update and reroot etc but that would take so much work again, since i did that just recently.

I'll see if i can find a better solution than flashing stock. If not, i'll have to.
