Does the Google Camera app impact quality ?

Hi guys, hope y'all doin' fine.

 

So yeah, the question is pretty straight forward. I was wondering if i should use the Google app as my main camera app, and I'm GOING to do test shots in order to compare and see if that makes any difference whatsoever. However, i'm wondering if there's any documented case of the app actually impacting the quality in a negative way so that i wouldn't use it.

I don't think its supposed it hinder image quality, but it seems to when I use it on my HTC one m8.

 

Oh ok ! Thanks for the info. I'll try it anyway and see if it does anything.
