Heyyo,

Zotac? They're the underdogs of the GPU market, much like ASRock is the underdogs of the motherboard market.

They're warranty is the best of all GPU brands. FIVE years mfr warranty as long as you register the card within 28 days of purchase. Otherwise only two years.

They can overclock almost as good as the other brands too. They only reason they don't quite reach it? They only have basic heatsink and air cooling on the VRM, not heatpipe.

That's the main reason I'd highly recommend Zotac though.. dat five year warranty... well, in europe and stuff. Three years in North America is still good too. :P

Does the basic heat sink mean that it's not as effective at keeping itself cool? Is it particularly loud? I have a gigabyte 770 and it get pretty freakin loud whenever I play demanding games.

Heyyo,

It's not a quiet card no.. slightly quieter than stock... but not by much. :P

On idle the fans turn off though.

What is the difference between a 980 ti Zotac AMP! versus the AMP! extreme? Is it worth the extra money, is the card binned better or just better factory overclock?

The amp! extreme is very large and heavy, but it has the most power of all Zotac Cards and is one of the fastest Graphics Card you can buy atm.

I say its worth the extra money.

My amp!extreme example reach a max temperature of 72° in Firerstrike, has zero coil whine and reach maybe 40db max. I cant hear it through my Case Fans when im gaming.

I dont know what Case and Airflow you have. Could be more, could be less i quess.

What if I can't buy the extreme edition? It's not easily available in my area, at the moment I can only get the normal amp! edition. What are their differences?

It´s 2 and not 3 Slots and a little bit slower. But its still a custom 980Ti and will be very fast.
