Get Windows 10 app gone....

So I got home from work hoping to move from Win 8.1 to Win 10. I turn on my PC and notice that my get Windows 10 app is gone and not much else is happening.

The get WIndows 10 App diagnostic tool says update KB2976978 is missing, but it's actually installed. I even uninstalled it and installed it again with no luck.

 

Anyone have any ideas?

Head into Windows Update and check for updates. Are you seeing the folder that Windows is keeping the unpacked ISO in?

Aaaaaaand it fixed itself now... after several restarts, I completely shut down my PC and started a cold boot. Icon is back. Go figure.
