So... I have an HTPC and I wanted to put in a GPU for a lot of time but when I built it inside an areocool ds cube and it has a cx430 as a powersupply with an i3 4130 (it shouldn't be a bottleneck), anyway I was keeping an eye on the 750 Ti for a while now, since it has a low power consumption and low temps (in theory). But now I'm not sure if I should wait for the 950, but I see that it has an 8pin connector so the power consumption must be higher.

Wait for the 950. Even if it has an 8pin a CX430 is going to be fine

PC is Intel Core i5 6400, GIgabyte H170 Gaming 3, Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x4GB 2400Mhz ,Sandisk Ultra Plus 128GB, WD Blue 1TB, NZXT S340, ASUS Geforce GTX 960. Fractal Design Tesla R2 650W. http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/793XNG. Graphics card choices don't always have to be dictated on performance. If you want the game stream and power consumption of the GTX 970 get that. If you want raw performance of the R9 390 get that. In the end we are all gamers, so what if your buddy gets an extra 5 fps?

Check to see if 950 is worth the price and if not check a super cheap used 750 Ti because price drops  B)

As I said heat and power consumption is the most important thing, so... no.

That thing is cool and uses barely any power.. Although it uses more power than a 750 Ti

Just an FYI you might eventually be able to get a level a bit below the 750 (non ti) with just the CPU with the Skylake i3 assuming it has the iris pro 6200 it is getting fairly impressive benchs for an igpu:

Something to consider as well since you can't go much lower in power than no GPU at all
