Hello everyone !

I am a young audio producer and I'm on a budget. Therefore I can't afford 3 or 4 different computers. I have my recording studio PC which is a dedicated machine, but I also do live perfomances. For that, I use my Asus G73sw laptop which usually makes it through. But I have been requiring a bit more computing power and since my laptop isn't solely dedicated to music perfomance, I was wondering if there was any way I could have different boot modes in my laptop. One in which I'd have everything working as usual (wifi/internet, antivirus, other power hungry services) and another boot mode where everything would be deactivated so it would boot faster and would perform better in live performances.

Anyone knows a way through ?

I'd like to apologize for any spelling mistakes, I'm not an english native speaker.

Thanks in advance !

You could dual boot 2 copies of windows if you really wanted.

It can't slow down that bad......just drop an ssd in there

Yeah I thought about that, althought I'd prefer having just some services deactivated instead of a dual boot solution

Wow thanks I didn't know this feature ! Really cool. The only thing that is "annoying" is that I have to go through msconfig each time before a show. Still better than nothing. I'll mark it as solved if nobody comes with another solution. Thanks mate ! :)
