Hi everyone, i´m having a weird issue with my MoBo, i´ve tried everything =( and you guys are my last resource  , ill explain

Couple of days ago, i was using my PC as normal, i was playing SC2 when suddenly my whole system crashed so i had to reset. When it turned on again, there was no video, just a black screen but by the HDD led  i can tell it was login to windows as it is supposed. This sounds like a common Gfx card failure but this is the problem: the Graphics card (a radeon HD7750) doesnt work in the pciex16 slot but IT DOES in the second slot, wich is a PCIEx8 one, so, the first slot is faulty right? Well, the problem is that when i try other graphics card in the first slot (an old GT520) , it actually works!, so im really confused on what´s going on here :/ You would also think that the PSU may not be able to power up the HD7750, but when i use it in the second slot, it works perfect, no lags, no crashes, nothing, so if it is working ok i think there´s no problem with the PSU. I also dont think its an incompatibility between the card and the board, since i´ve been using the card about 1 year.

This is  what i have tried:

- Set in the BIOS the init display first to PCIE (PEG)

- reset BIOS

- Update BIOS

- Reinstalled Drivers (Although there´s no POST screen)

- Tried the system out of the case, so that will avoid any kind of short cut issues, still no luck.

- Tried other card in the first slot, the card worked.

- Tried the HD7750 in the 2nd slot, it works.

- Removed all the components (fans, HDD, Sound card) while testing the card, not working.

- I did also clean the PC, i thought maybe the dust was the problem, but not.

Something i have to say is that, days before i tried to make it work again, and i was able to use it some days by changing the PCIE gen from auto to Gen1, also i tried putting the card in the second slot and then swap it again to the first one,  both things worked for couple of days but then stopped working again.

To recap: The HD7750 Does NOT work in the first slot, but it Does in the second slot, the GT520 works in both slots.

In the gigabyte eSupport they told me to return the MB to the store where i bought it to claim the warranty but it has already expired, so i dont know if they would contact Gigabyte for me and charge me like a shipping fee to return the MB, i already sent an email to them, but still, waiting for a new one is not the best option since i need the PC for work.

Must be an issue with whatever part of the gpu is handling x16, however the difference in performance is minor. SO i guess buy a new card assuming thats not on warranty if you care that much.

http://myanimelist.net/animelist/VLRose I like anime, I'm missing at least 50 off this list.

R9 390, i5 6400, 8GB Ram

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) And no hard drives  ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

yeah, I know there´s a minor difference in performance, the problem is that when i use the card in the x8 slot, it blocks the PCI slot as well, and i need it for the sound card :( that´s why im complaining.

But then, does this problem sounds more like a Graphics card failure than a bad PCIE slot?

Just a little question...

Does the aux card you plug into the x16 slot and works... does it have a FULL goldpin layout?

I mean no spacings on the connector and so on...?

*quote me if you have the answer, please. ; ) *

Noup, it doesnt, it is a x16 card, and it is PCIE gen 2, but there´s some spacing between some of the pins.

Well sapphire´s page says that they give 2 years of warranty to all of their Gfx cards, so there´s a chance they'll give me a new one i guess :)
