I'm planning on doing an external build of my pc (when I have the parts, of course) and I'm just wondering if it's a good idea to attach a water cooler like an h100i on the external build. If it's not, do I need to use intel's stock cooler on the external build and somehow remove it afterwards? What about thermal paste... will I need to rub it off? I don't think I have any isopropyl alcohol...

So many questions, sorry :P New to watercooling

Ok, so if your going to test your system first outside the case, i would recommend the stock cooler. Then when you are all good, take it off and clean it with a lint free cloth and isopropyl alcohol (get some it's pretty cheap). Then just build your computer in the case as usual.

Double check everything, I am usually wrong.

it is possible to mock run the system. like said before, the TIM application will need

to be recleaned and reapplied. i use lighter fluid for TIM removal if alcohol is not available.

just keep loose items, wires and fingers from the fan blades and fans in general.
