The DDC is the minimum pump I usually recommend due to it's excellent head pressure and flow, but is second on the list compared to say the D5.

There are others such as EKWB's own DCP pump or Alphacool's flat DC-LT which are designed for watercooling loops.

do you have any experience with the ekwb dcp? is it a good pump for just 1 240mm rad in a cpu loop?

I've personally used a D5 before but have't tried the EKWB DCP, they all work on the same principle using a impeller riding on a ceramic bearing surface however for theses pumps.

The specs look good with a decent flow rates and good head pressure so you should be fine with the components in your loop. The main difference is really the noise I'm not sure how quiet their units are compared to the compact DDC or D5 pump.

noise isnt an issue, but i want to ask something for future proofness. if down the line, i want to add a gpu to the loop, would i need to change the pump? (id throw in another 240mm rad)

I'm sure the DCP is capable of that kind of setup, but if you haven't order parts yet I would suggest checking out their kits they have which include pumps, fittings, rads, and CPU waterblocks to get you started and can allow for further expansion.

i havent ordered any parts yet but im doing a color based build and the kits dont really match, so i'm assembling my own.
