Should I upgrade?

So I have the HyperX clouds, and I've been thinking of upgrading to something better-sounding. Don't get me wrong, the Clouds are amazing, but I already have an external mic, and my Clouds are starting to ware down (had them for over a year now, the mic was starting to bug out, so i had to buy an external one)
 

I play a lot of FPS games (counter-strike), and listen to music (hiphop, some edm). I've been doing some research recently, and I think i'd want open(?) heaphones.


My budget is $150 max. (i'd prefer closer to 100 though)

I read that the m50x doesn't have a very good soundstage for CS (or something like that), and that the HD558's would be a better choice? 

I'd probably be using them more for gaming than anything

Yes, the HD558's would be better for gaming. The m50x's are for more all-round use.
