My next step into finalizing my built is getting some extra fans.

My setup needs two AirFlow fans and two Static Preassure fans. With white LEDs.

Since I'm using a Corsair Vengance C70 case, plan was to remove one HDD bay (not planning to use it) and stick an AF fan on the front slot.

Under that where the HDDs are at I wanted to have two SP fans, in front and back of the bay.

And then the final AF fan to replace the exhaust.

First I was thinking to use the Corsair LED fans, but after doing some digging, many users reported them as being quite... awful.

So what else can I have as alternative? The Specter fans from Bitfenix?

These two couples need to have the same LED setup for asthetics purpouses, since AF and SP go in the front.

If someone has any suggestion, thank you in advance.

Last thing, I might consider modding these LEDs so I can switch them off. I work at an electronics factory so I should have all the needed tools. Question is: how difficult could it be? Since at the end I'm pretty much hooking every LED in my case to a fan controller for flexible dimming.

-SNIP-

Most LED fans are kinda less than amazing I definitely recommend if you want lighting to have regular fans and LED strips it will give more even lighting while not having issues with dimming when running LED fans on less than full speed.

Bitfenix spectre pros are very well rounded fans, and they come in white

AeroCool Sharks, heard good things about them

Air penetrators are awesome for focused airflow and have good static pressure

For airflow, i recomend this ID-COOLING fans

I would put AP121s as intake and on the hard drives and the ID-cooling fan or an aerocool shark in the rear

And i have to mention the TB vegas since IMO are the best looking LED fans out there and very good overall, i mean, you could simply use 4 of them

Sorry, kind of a noob question, how would I use the LED strips to be powerd on when my computer is and where is the best place to buy some.

It's not too difficult most are powered via 12V molex or sata and will turn on when your PC turns on, if you want brightness control some are wired to 3 pin fan headers so your can use DC voltage control via the motherboard or fan controller to vary the brightness.

Some good LED strips are the Darkside strips, or Bitfenix Alchemy strips but are a bit pricey for what they are.

There are also some Industry Affiliates on the forums that sell pre-made LED strips, such as Addon Customs or ModGuru.
