There's an extension that can be found here, SSL is semi broken on the site (has been for awhile) and to fix it would require a full reintegration which they don't have the time for. You need GreaseMonkey (Firefox) TamperMonkey (chrome/Opera) for the script.

The forum https doesn't stay enabled because the links everywhere are absolute to http://linustechtips.com.

 

Any way of getting around these absolute links and keeping SSL on permanently? I don't need it but it would be a nice addition.
