Might I suggest an APU instead?

It's about the same price, and you get a noticeable boost in graphical prowess with dual graphics.

Of course, to take advantage of dual graphics you'd probably need an AMD GPU.

Which GPU are you running?

DAYTONA

PROCESSOR - AMD RYZEN 7 3700X
MOTHERBOARD - ASUS PRIME X370-PRO
RAM - 32GB (4x8GB) CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX DDR4-2400
CPU COOLING - NOCTUA NH-D14
GRAPHICS CARD - EVGA NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 980Ti SC+ ACX 2.0 w/ BACKPLATE
BOOT and PROGRAMS - CORSAIR MP600 1TB
GAMES and FILES - TOSHIBA 2TB
INTERNAL BACKUP - WESTERN DIGITAL GREEN 4TB
POWER SUPPLY - CORSAIR RM850i
CASE - CORSAIR OBSIDIAN 750D

I've got this AMD Radeon HD 5450 or a Radeon HD 4670 if I can fix it. I was going get an R9 270 but the prices rose so I'm holding off.

Then do what the guy above me said. Get an A10 7850K with the iGPU being R7 250 and use that as it's better than both the 5450 and the 4670 and when you can, get yourself a 380.

The GPUs you have will be less powerful than the iGPU, i can guarantee as the R7 250 is close to the 5770-5850. The CPU cores are also quite a bit more powerful than those of the 6300 giving you better performance in not-so multi-threaded applications such as games.

So just get the A10-7850K? What about the A10-7870K?

That is simply a higher clocked version of the A10 7850K. You can OC it yourself and you only need a good cooler. Best spend the extra cash on that.

Any good cooler that would it in my Rosewill Line-M case?

Check your case's max CPU height. If possible, the 212 EVO by Cooler Master.

I had a look on PC Part Picker and looked at the 212 EVO.

The Rosewell appears to be listed as a compatible case, though it does pop up as a compatibility issue (sort of) on the parts list.

Nonetheless, I put an A10-7850K on the list with a Gigabyte motherboard and the 212 EVO: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/wJpmzy

I'll try to find one that works.
