iPhone 5 automating data

Snooli

Hi, I have come across an interesting problem. As we all know, iPhones have a weak battery and LTE data chunks through it with ease. Now the thing is, I only need to read e-mails once an hour. Is there a way, to automaticly enable data, download emails and disable data once every hour? Using data only 55 minutes out of every 60 should save a lot of power.

Any ideas how to automate this?

Standby battery life is usually excellent on iPhones. Usually, a 1% drain per hour is very normal without any services or functions turned off. But to answer your question, I don't think you're able to do that without jailbreaking.

Not going to happen on iOS, but it's also very well built for standby, you can set this up just with email though
