Update my gaming?

So the last game I played that I really enjoyed is a few years old - Titan Quest: Immortal Throne. Other games I've been known to enjoy were Warcraft II, Starcraft: Brood Wars, and Age of Empires III. I'm looking for some newer games that fall under those styles. I'd tried the Diablo III beta when it was out and wasn't fond of it compared to TQ, and many years ago when Warcraft III came out I just couldn't get the hang of it to be able to play it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have a 4770k with 16 GB RAM and a GTX 770, so I'm not too concerned about requirements.

 

Ninja edit! One thing that I want to make sure I can do with the game is play it offline. There are some times when I may be running it on my laptop and I don't always have access to the Internet, or there's other reasons. Internet capable play is one thing, Internet required I'll pass on.

Maybe the Sacred series would suit you? I've also enjoyed both Torchlight 1 and 2, which compare to Diablo, but are also completely different.

Sacred 2 Golden is a colourful and sometimes humorous top-down RPG, pretty good for mindless hack and slashing. Torchlight 2 is also a really solid game of the same vein, albeit more darker in tone like Diablo but still worth a gander.

 

Personally, I feel Sacred 2 has more charm to it, but TL2 is stronger mechanically.

I'd started looking into Sacred and the first one I came across was Sacred 3, which seems to be declared pretty weak compared to the others, and to other games in general. I hadn't looked into Sacred 1 or 2 yet. I'll see what comes up
