So I'm looking into upgrading my computer quite substantially. I've had a 4790K sitting on my desk since December so I really need a motherboard for it. I'm pretty much sold on the HyperX Fury Blue RAM and want a motherboard with the same shade of blue. The motherboard has to be Z97 and ATX and support SLI/ Crossfire. I've seen the MSI Z97-G55 and really like the aesthetics but its out of stock like everywhere. Is there a motherboard that will meet my needs or should I #YOLO paint a motherboard of a different color?

don't "#YOLO paint it".. do it properly if you must. I coated mine in black PlastiDip and painted the heatsinks and SATA-ports white - it went rather terrible since I had no feeling for the amount of paint and I was too impatient to let it properly dry before applying the next coat.

the old Gigabyte boards were blue but it seems like they totally went for mainstream black-red and black-gold now..

there still are the MSI Z97 PC MATE and the ASrock Z97-Pro4 and similar ones but I believe they are crossfire only and I personally dont like ASrock (nor MSI - except gaming series).

if I were you and dont have time to wait I'd get a decent ASUS board and carefully paint the slots, heatsinks etc blue (like Linus did in one video) or let it be done by a professional - show him the video first, he might not know what can happen to a PCB..

if you got time however definetly wait for the MSI Z97-G55..
