Port Forwarding Linksys E1200

Go to solution Solved by brownds,

Found a solution that works for me. I found a post where someone said that the Linksys doesn't open up a port until a program is listening on it. I can see minecraft_server.exe listening on my port, but I thought that I would try the nogui server. The nogui server appears to work once the Linksys SPI Firewall was disabled and packet filtering was turned off. Both of these settings were in the Security tab of the router

I'm having trouble opening a port for my Minecraft Server on my Linksys E1200. I'm able to connect to the server via the local ip address, however I can't access the server from the WAN. I have a rule in the router to open the port and a rule in my Windows 7 firewall to allow traffic. I've tried rebooting the router and port range forwarding, but that doesn't help either. I've never had this much trouble port forwarding, and I was easily able to open a port for Mumble.

Any suggestions?

Did you do everything here? It shouldn't be all that much trouble.
