So I've been saving up all of my money for quite a while and now I've got quite a large budget (£2100) to spend on building myself a PC. I'm posting here because it's my first build and I just want to double check everything with outside sources before I order all of the parts.

I'm planning on gaming at 4k (3840 x 2160) and I'm going to be doing a lot of 3D Modelling and Animation using programs such as Blender, Photoshop, and ZBrush.

Due to what I'm going to be using the system for I've opted for an X99 based system using a 5820k so that I can have some extra cores and threads. I've also chosen a GTX 980 Ti for my graphics card because from what I've seen it is good enough to drive most current games at 4K at 60FPS with just a slight bit of tweaking of the settings. The 980 Ti should also be good enough for when I want to do renders of my 3D scenes.

I will be installing Windows 10 and my programs on the 120 GB SSD and Steam along with all my games on the 500 GB SSD. I've checked using an online calculator and my entire Steam Library only takes up 380 GB of space so the SSD is big enough to fit everything. The question I have here is whether or not I should put my games on an SSD? If I don't get the SSD I will instead get a WD Black drive for £50 so what could I do with the leftover £80?

With my remaining £32 I'm going to be buying an anti-static wrist-wrap and a mouse mat - I ruined my old one by spilling coffee all over it.

Does anyone on this forum see anything wrong with my build and is there anything I could change with my build to either save money (although that
doesn't really bother me) or to get better performance?

Thanks.

Only thing id change is the PSU, The one you have is useable but theres certainly much better ones you could get. Maybe an EVGA or Seasonic PSU.

So I've changed a few things with the build. I've switched out the Corsair RM 1000W PSU to an EVGA 850W Supernova 2. I've also replaced the three Be Quiet! Silentwings 2 fans with four Noctua NF-A14 fans. I will run the fans with two as front intakes, one as a bottom intake and ones as a rear exhaust.
