Computer Specs: GA-Z97X-Gaming 5 motherboard, windows 8.1 pro opperating system on a Samsung 850 EVO 250 Gig SSD, EVGA750W G2 power supply, GTX GV-N970G1 Gaming graphics card, i7-4790k processor, 1 terrabyte harddrive, disc drive, fan controller, and 6 case fans, Zalman CNPS 9500 cpu fan, and 2x8 gig corsair 1600 Vengence RAM.

Issue: After starting up my computer cold (no power for a while), I hear a single beep, followed by seeing the bios screen. If I want, I can enter bios, from here, and everything looks OK. There is no crash if I enter bios, while navigating bios. If I do not enter bios, then it splashes the Windows 8 icon, as if it were going to load, and immidiately shuts down with no error message or other sound. If I did load bios, then this crash occurs after my computer restarts and occurrs also at the windows 8 icon. Following this, if I restart my computer(push power button), it will post beep, bios, windows icon, loading circle thingy will appear, log-in screen will appear, and everything works fine.

All of my hardware looks good on the device manager, I am not missing driver updates.

What is the problem? How do I fix it? What are the risks?

Personally, I don't care if I have to push the button twice, and it loads in a total time of 10 seconds, including the crash. But if that is just a symptom of a time bomb that will further destroy my hardware, I'd prefer to fix it.

I also can not put my PC to sleep. It'll fall asleep normally, and then 2 minutes later wake up. I prefer it to be quite when not in use, and the 6 fans, even on low, aren't quiet...
