OpenGL Triple Buffering?

it will tax VRAM

it stores aditional frames so that if your GPU can't draw at 60 fps constantly it doesn't dip down to 30 with v-sync on

 Is it worth having on? I do have V-synch on in most games I play. Will it tax the GPU unnecessarily if on or will it have the opposite effect?
