Is that Graphics card that powerful?

yes, it compares to the Titan X.,it will run 1440p nearly every game at a stable FPS if you don't use AA since it's not needed at higher resolutions and dim down intensive settings. You could like the one dude said blow another $880 on one but wait and see how a single one works out for you.

How much more powerful would a Titan X Superclocked be? I know it costs like 45 percent more but would all the power go to waste or would it allow 1440p ultra settings no problems.

with the titan the cost - performance is blown out of proportion and with minimal increase its pretty much there for bragging rights

you'd see like 3-4 FPS difference. Not worth it and the superclocked is honestly just a overclocked Titan x. Something you could easily do in 15 minutes. I'd SLI 980Tis if you needed in the future but it won't be needed right away to easily achieve 60fps. It'll run ultra no problem just no aa or MSAA sinc it's not needed at 1440p.

60 Fps only? I was hoping something that could run 1080p 144hz easily. Was the 980Ti Superclocked reccomendation based on 1080p 144fps or 1440p 60 fps?

1440p 60fps. I must of read something wrong, a 980ti will run not all games but a ton of them at 1080p 100+FPS. Games like GTA v it won't since GTA v isn't optimized as good as it should. In games like BF4, Far cry 4, and more yes it will.

What would you recommend for 1080p 144fps and solely that?

the exact build I showed earlier. Should easily achieve it for years to come so no upgrading for awhile. Could also run 1440p if you wanted.

Sorry to break the news, but if you are looking to go as close as possible to that 144fps in AAA titles, you will need to spend close to twice your budget (below). Otherwise, the way to go is GTX 980 SLI, which will be about $300 cheaper
