So basically, I've seen so many people running systems with the same specs as me, but they good almost double the performance of me, my specs are the following

i5 3570k  @Stock

Hyper T4 CPU cooler

GA-H77-DS3H motherboard

250GB Crucial MX200 SSD

1TB Seagate barracuda HDD

MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G

32 GB Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3 2400 Mhz ram @ 1600 Mhz cause of mobo

Gigabyte Green Max 650w PSU

for example, League of Legends maxed I get around 250FPS, I'll be lucky if I get upto 300FPS while from the videos i've seen, people hover at 400 FPS

also in GTA 5 I get 50 fps on mid settings

Planetside 2 seems to be fine @ 60 fps in ultra and 40 fps in big fights

CSGO stutters so much its crazy

when I got my GTX 970 and RAM I re-installed windows 8.1 so I don't know whats going on....

please help...

What resolution is this at? Everything except for CSGO seems normal. Verify game cache for CSGO.

Are you really going to complain about 300 and 250 FPS?!  Did you even install the driver?

for a GTX 970 yes I am...

yeah I have all drivers up to date.

1080p, I'll do that

Why would you pair a K-SKU CPU with a non-OC board is beyond me. I figure this is a motherboard bottlenecking of some sort. The bad thing is that Z77 MOBOs are almost a myth now. You will have an easier time seeing an Alien in person than finding a Z77 MOBO.

I also "only get 2-300FPS" in LoL, but it's a waste of GPU power, so i limit at 120 to avoid screen tear.

The GTA performance is odd, how is your CPU load when playing?

I found a z87 board that I might buy if I won't completely upgrade to a new rig

If you buy a Z87 MOBO then you need to change the CPU to haswell, you won't be able to use the 3570K.

Also, forget the Z87 and look for a z97 if you plan on upgrading.

What is your cpu and gpu load during idle?

EDIT: Also what are the temps of cpu and gpu at load?

temps are fine, nothing goes over 60 for the CPU and nothing over 70 for the GPU

temps are fine, nothing goes over 60 for the CPU and nothing over 70 for the GPU

But what is the load in windows taskmanager for the cpu (both at idle and during gaming).

And check msi afterburner for gpu load when gaming. If it doesn't go above 70% there is a bottleneck or something else is wrong.

in GTA yeah, it doesn't go all the way to 100% for some reason, its not a bottle-neck my CPU is capable, its probably just the game, I don't know about csgo though, i  haven't checked

Was screwy then too even most of last month...from what I heard.

I personally didn't experience any performance issues, but multiplayer was really just a cloud simulator where you waited for a server not to answer you so you could look at some more clouds!
