Hi all,

I've got a question and I can't really find a "right" solution to it.

I have the pc at about 2m from the desk, I need to connect the keyboard and mice but the cable are not so long.

Here my question:

Should I use an extension cable or a HUB (powered?)?

Will I loose some performance or have some problems?

Thanks

I would say just use a powered hub, since you may at some time want to plug other things in as well. And having the hub would mean you don't have to reach over extra far to connect things.

Yes but I have to hide the hub (not much space on desk) so I wouldn't make my choose on this basis.

My concerning was about data loose and anything else. Ai read also that hub may have some problem with keyboard or mice

Hubs can have problems with keyboards/mice, but that is usually the unpowered or ultra cheap ones.  There should be no data loss issues with using a hub.
