Check the code on the motherboard when it lights up.

Hell, if it were me I'd take everything dissemble the rig and reassemble it. Make sure all stuff is plugged in all the way, I took my HDD out of my rig one time and didnt it make sure it was plugged in all the way turned my computer on and about pissed myself till I realized the mistake I made.

Built new computer, turn it on for the first time and nothing works. Only thing that happens is that the motherboards lights up. Any tips on how to fix?

 

Pics? (So we can see if you missed a connection somewhere or something like that)

 

Make sure the CPU power is plugged in, 24-pin is plugged in, pci-e power is plugged into the GPU (if it requires it, or if you have a gpu for that matter), cpu fan plugged in to the cpu fan header.
