My friend and I recently made a deal. We decided to do a challenge similar to LTT's "Scrapyard wars". We have a budget around $310(we're in norway). The challenge is to build the best steambox and test witch one who preformed best. I'm looking for a build with a AMD quad core and a r7 series gpu (nvidia is fine, althoug amd is prefered this time). Also an mini-itx board and a small psu(st30sf is my best bet). The build dont need a case because we both own a 3d printer and to make the smallest an cooles case was a part of the challenge. Any suggestions?

The budget is so low because we want to beat the consoles with size, preformance and the same prize.

Also overclocking was not allowed :(

Does it have to be new parts? If not you can look at used parts from ebay and get even more for your budget.

$250? Anything possible for that? I checekd the prise in norway and $310 was over budget here in norway:/

Don't think you can really get much cheaper without going dual core or an apu.

500 gb hard drive to cut back on costs. You might have to get an apu though. Used parts would help.

Best I could do. Possible CPU bottleneck, but like the PS4 and XBO the processor bottlenecks anyways. The 265=what is in a PS4.

Not the ddr3 version. The gddr5 version at least.
