Switch or no switch?

Brad

Hi all. Would a switch be in any way advantageous if I have just two computers (one wired, one wireless) and a NAS in my network? Right now they'll just be plugged into my Asus rt-N56u.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Please explain, why do you feel the need to add a switch?

With this small amount of devices your router should be sufficient.

If you need to cover a longer distance, or get more devices than ports on the router, sure go ahead

but a switch does not affect performance in any way

I don't feel the need to get a switch. I just wanted to know if I should get one so you answered my question. Thank you! I did think it would be unnecessary, but I just wanted to make sure.
