Hello I have recently used a temporary solution to move my wireless router around my house for better signal strength and speeds but I am going to move it permanently and wondered what cable is better to transfer signal over, a 5m DSL cable or a 5m Cat6 patch cable. I known that Ethernet cables signal strength degrades but does a DSL cable?

Thanks in advance :)

In such a short distance, it's not likely to make a noticeable difference but your DSL link should be as short as possible. I would run the patch cable 100/100 times.

Thanks, okay yeah i will leave the modem where it is and have a long patch cable to the router :)
