I just tossed something together so I could get an idea for how much it would be, but do you think that this could max sims 3 no problem?

My gf loves the sims 3 and it's really the only game she plays on pc. Just wondering out of curiosity how much it would be, although she probably wants a laptop.

You don't actually need that processor and psu because they're overkill

edit: I forgot to ad the os and if you want you can ad a optical drive

Alright I understand the APU (not as familiar with AMD), but the PSU I've heard the CX is kinda crappy build…is that 7790 better than the 7850?

You don't really need to spend 850 dollars to just play the Sims though. My friend plays it on a haswell laptop CPU so I'm sure an APU will be fine.

I have been using a CX 430 with a GTS 450 and its been kicking nonstop for 3 years or so. So that PSU is fine.

Actually, sorry. She really wants a laptop…unfortunately I can't make her one so she has to search for a computer that is $300-400 more I assume to get enough to run the Sims 3 but probably not nearly as well.
