I'd get a printr bot play or simple metal. You must know that 3d printing is a pain in the ass no matter if you have the $6500 maker bot thing, an ultimaker, or a reprap. They all have their quirks and issues. I've been toying with 3d printing for over a year now and after buying a bad kit, I finally have a mostly functional ultimaker that I assembled. If money is super tight, I've heard good things about the m3d. It's super cheap, but I've heard the construction is a little flimsy.

Also, if you aren't already, I'd learn a thing or two about 3d modeling. Thingiverse might not have exactly what you're looking for.

I have learned through painful experience that it is worth it to pay more for a good machine. For my humble opinion, I have heard a lot of good things about printr bot and maker farm (if you want a kit) but if you have the money, ultimaker is the way to go. Good luck!
