post but no windows

when i start my pc it is a black screen, and then it stays like that for infinity, but when i disconnect the harddrive, i see the system post, i just bought a second hand hd 5850 if that could be the problem maybe(but it worked before.)?

what does it say on the screen when it seems to post? Also, could you take a picture of the inside of your pc. Did you just build this or did this just happen out of the blue?
