Well, that isn't surprising. It seems as though we need politics to baby us and choose what we are allowed to watch/play.

 

Kind of defeats the purpose of being an adult doesn't it.

You can perform sexual acts with another consenting human being at 16. Bit of blood and gore in a video game... HOW MONSTROUS!

It couldn't be rated R18 because you get rewarded for doing hardcore drugs, or so the paper says.

Haven't read the paper yet. Hmmm, there is a line that has to be drawn... rewards for doing hardcore drugs is kind of sending the wrong message out (a little worse then just going around shooting people, sadly).

They should have made a gun that fires coke, double whammy right there.

I think Australia is taking the wrong approach. violence in video games is fine but for some reason thats ignored by AUS. excessive gore on the other hand I think is pointless and frankly mentally harmful. I think AUS needs to figure out whats ok. I dont mind if my kid plays a fps but I dont want him dissecting another human with a chainsaw
