So, I updated my phone's OS to the newest one after putting it off for a while. I didn't catch all of the details about the update, but I know that it was the newest version from Android KitKat 4.4.4, to Android Lollipop 5.0. I did not download the OS from a different site, I was just given the option to update it. And I left it alone for a while to download and install, and now all it does is reboot. It brings up the "1+ Powered By Android" screen then it does a short vibrate and the screen goes black. There are important files on my phone that need to be recovered. My phone has a password. The first time I tried to boot it, it showed what I would guess was a battery life at "00%" but I don't think I ran out of battery.

If this changes anything, I changed the runtime on my phone from Dalvik to ART in hopes of getting better battery life. I have no idea why because I didn't have any issues with battery life...

Please help. Thanks

(charge it first) Try hard booting it. Hold down the power button and the down volume button a the same time.

You may have to go into recovery and flash the Rom yourself.

Post in the Oneplus forums they can help you a LOT better than we can.

There are a few things that you can try that have proven to work:

1. Hold down the power button for 20 seconds (until you feel a vibrate) and the phone will do a hard boot / Hold down power and volume down

2. If step one fails fully power off the phone and give it a 8-10 hour charge which will allow the battery to recalibrate

3. You can TRY flashing back to your previous OS version because it may be a software issue

4. Worst comes to worst RMA it and notify OPO they should be able to help

Ive tried almost everything, and at this point, i just need to get the data off of the phone. I didn't get any responses from the OPO forums..
