eGPU

Omar

I'm in need of a external GPU. I have a lenovo x220 with mini express card and thinking of getting a 660 ti. But in order for for it to work on my notebook, I require a PCIe. The best one I could find is the PE4H v3.2. I lack the information to make my final decision and I'm limited in budget therefore I can't test anything. Also the transfer rate of the mini express card slot is limited to 5 GB/s and PCIe 2.0 is 8 GB/S; how will this affect the performance of the GPU and do you recommend this solution?

no reason to to do this cost more than just having a custom desktop. id say dont waste your time i wanted this on my old inspiron laptop its not worth the hasle and possible huge bottlenecks and you also would have to buy a new moniter and remove wifi.
