So I currently have really bad internet.

It is supposed to be 5.5Mbs with unlimited data but I am glad when I hit 4.5 and it is actually limited to 90-something GB/month without ability to pay for more.

Soon there will be another option from small ISP, it looked interesting, 30Mbs for 18€ a month (currently I am paying 16€)

But I just found out it is going to be wireless, 1.5KM from my house, how will that impact latency?

My current internet connection is slow as all hell but latency is pretty good (40+ish)

As long as it's a quality service the latency would be quite acceptable.

What is "quite acceptable"?

As in under 75 ms at least. I've seen wireless services under 50ms. You never said what you needed the lag level for. I should point out in oz (where I live) under 10ms is unheard of and unreasonable to expect...

Well the only thing that low latency is relevant for is pretty much gaming, if it will be under 75 it will be worth it for the bandwidth i guess, I still have pretty long contract with my old ISP anyway so hopefully someone else who knows what latency is :D will get internet from the new ISP before me.
