So I recently built my first gaming pc (today). My specs are:

Msi z97-s krait edition

I5-4690k

8gb corsair vengeance 1600

550w psu

Hyper 212 evo

Kingston v300 ssd.

I built it all got a fresh copy of Windows 7 64 bit on my ssd and downloaded all the latest drivers. The problem comes when I try to overclock my cpu. I start it up and open the bios. Since I'm new I used the ez oc button. It overclocked my cpu to 4ghz from 3.5. I press the apply, save and restart but then once windows loads up it still says I'm on 3.5ghz. My bios is up to date and I'm really confused about this.

Any help would be great. Thanks!

you did click the "save and exit" button right? and I would just do a manual OC, they're better just saying: I would also make 100% sure the bios is up to date, if it still doesn't work you can wait for someone more experienced with MSI Bios's or contact MSI's help and support
