You don't need a sound card, the integrated audio is already good enough, and I'd suggest going with a 250GB or larger SSD, 120GB gets filled up really fast.

Other than that it looks good. (I take it you plan on using the stock fans of the h100i for that? Cause you only have 140mm fans added, when the h100i only supports 120mm fans.)

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

why do you have 3 sp fans? for airflow you should get the af series fans by corsair. noctua fans are better imo. for airflow at 120mm, go with the nf-s12a pwm. for airflow at 140mm, get the nf-a14 pwm. if you want to replace the stock corsair fans on the h100i, you can buy two 120mm noctua nf-f12 pwm fans; they are designed for static pressure and radiators

i think a 120gb ssd is fine... unless you can afford a 250 gb go for it, but it's not necessary. more of a luxury. i've heard bad things about the v300 series ssd from kingston. i would recommend a samsung instead

if you can afford it, get a hybrid sshd @ 2 tb

i doubt you need the soundcard

what kind of monitor do you have? i would highly recommend that you get a 1ms, 144 hertz, gsync capable monitor @ 1440p with that build or else it'll be a complete waste. option 1:

Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q 144Hz 27.0" Monitor

Thanks for the help I added 2 120 mm fans for my h100i The fans are noctua nf-f12. I also got rid of the sound card and a fan so I could get a Samsung 250gb ssd and a segue 2tb hybrid.

nice. you'll be happy with the noctua fans. they are the best. just make sure you get the NF-F12 PWM. the PWM feature is important. also, DO NOT get the industrial or redux versions

i think 120gb ssd is fine. i haven't even filled mine up yet. 2tb hdd or sshd is necessary though. if you want to save money get a 120gb ssd. here is a cheaper option for a 256gb ssd as the samsung ssd's can get expensive:

Sandisk SDSSDHP-256G-G25

a good 2tb sshd at a good price is:

Seagate ST2000DX001

No need to spend extra on a hybrid hard drive. You already have an SSD which will give you the fast boot up times and fast load times for programs/games. Just go with a regular hard drive for mass storage.

i changed a few things around here. i went with x2 980's in SLI because they will provide you with more performance increase than a single 980 ti. my friend has this setup as well and he games nicely on 1440p. zotac has a nice factory overclock on these cards as well in case you don't want to overclock them yourself

i changed the i7 to an i5. i doubt you'll notice much difference in game. its cheaper too. just overclock the cpu if you have to. i can help you with that. i got mine up to 4.6 ghz on the core and 4.5 ghz on the cache @ 1.30v and 1.32v

i wouldn't recommend such an expensive keyboard, but if you want to buy it go ahead. i have this keyboard and it's perfect; logitech is a great brand:

Logitech Corded Keyboard K280e Wired Standard Keyboard

it's lasted me a long time and it's good for gaming imo. soft keys

the corsair 450d is cheaper and it looks like a great case. seasonic makes very good quality psus. 750w should be enough. the h60 is all you need for cooling the i5. you only need 1 noctua nf-f12 pwm to replace the stock corsair rad fan. i included a noctua nf-s12a pwm fan to replace the stock 120mm at the rear of the case. this fan will exhaust A LOT of hot air out, which is important

thoughts?

Instead of buying two expensive NF-F12 fans to replace the H100i stock fans, why not get a better cooler. NZXT Kraken X61 or Corsair H110i GT are reasonable choices. Hard to get, but Swiftech H240-X is also very good.

The case comes with three stock 140mm fans. Coupled with the 2x140mm stock fans of the cpu cooler they should provide more than sufficient air flow.

Samsung 850 Evo 250GB ssd is definitely an excellent choice.

An 860W psu does not really allow enough headroom for a second gpu. Especially if the cpu and/or gpu are going to be overclocked. A lot of good choices in the ~1000W range: EVGA 220-GS-1050-V1, EVGA 220-PS-1000-V1, SeaSonic X-1050, EVGA 220-P2-1000-XR, XFX P1-1050-BEFX, SeaSonic Platinum-1000, and SeaSonic SS-1050XP3.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

if you just do mild rendering, you should check out the following chip. 4 cores, 8 threads. less expensive than the i7

Intel Xeon E3-1241 V3[/quote

Thanks for the tip all the reviews said it's an i7 for $100 cheaper so that's good il over clock it to 4 hertz

The Xeon isn't unlocked for overclocking.  Are you anywhere near a Microcenter ? As you can pick up the i7 4790K in store for $279.99
