Desktop Window Manager Issues

I constantly get error messages from Desktop Window Manager crashing and it does my head in.

I can't figure out what's causing it, but it's something to do with eyefinity, as far as I'm aware.

I had an error log from the window that pops up but I accidentally copied something else and no longer have it. I think it's somewhere in a windows log folder but I can't remember where it is!

Basically, I've had this on two different computers now and possibly with two different GPUs. It could be to do with crossfire, eyefinity or having eyefinity on with another extended display too.

Anyone got any ideas what's causing it as it can be a real pain?

Sigh... Im not the only one then!

But for now i'm putting up with it as its infrequent but random.

Things I'm guessing may be causing problems, I run actual multi monitors for the extra task bars.

The only other thing i could think that is causing it but i hope not is the mDP->DVI adapter that I'm using for my third screen but i can't recall when the errors started occurring so I can't nail what exactly.

Also it persists over a complete reinstall of windows.

Well, I'm not using an adaptor so it's definitely not that. A possibility though, would be the fact I'm using DVI + 2 x mDP. Due to the different sync rates of the two standards, you get screen tearing on the DVI one and I can live with that. But this could also be the cause for the crashes! These crashes are exactly as you describe though, infrequent and random. But, once every day or two, though infrequent, is annoying!

Anyone else got this problem? It's kinda annoying as it can crash games while you're playing.

And of course, does anyone know how to fix this?
