Air Filters

Go to solution Solved by Rageoclax,

I have not had any experience with using Demcifilter however I will attest that dust filters are almost essential if you have your system on the floor, and you have had previous dust problems.

My last system used to sit on the floor, and I would need to constantly clean it out every few months as the dust buildup was horrendous. On my new build I opted for Silverstone fan filters. Since then I have had my case on the floor for about 6 months now. I recently opened the case and found that the internal case and components have remained almost completely clean with the filters catching everything that goes into the case.

This has also made clean up very easy as I only have to run a brush over the components with a blast of air. The filters can be washed, dried, and applied within a few minutes which is nice.

If you are having a problem with major dust buildup I would say you definitely consider dust filters. Or if you possibly can move the system off the ground. That's my solution once I purchase my new desk.

Hey all,

I have a Phantom 410 Case that lives by my desk on the floor in my bedroom and is gathering a hefty amount of dust. I'm planning on adding more fans to help cool my rig but before that I would like to solve my dust problem, as my case doesn't have any built in dust filters what could I use as a filter or would Demciflex http://www.demcifilter.com/p0195/NZXT-Phantom-410-Dust-Filter-Kit.aspx

be better??

Thanks all,

NeonJam
