Is this a quality motherboard? I don't want to have to spend much more on a mobo if not necessary, especially since I just want a 7950 to OC and probably OC the CPU a little bit. Maybe I'll get a 780 in this build some day, but I just want one that won't slow down my performance and is built well.

Good board, but I would go with this instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130694

Reasons:

- More VRM phases

- Right angle SATA connectors

- Better VRM cooling

- Looks better(IMO)

CPU: AMD 3950x Mobo: MSI B550 RAM: 32GB DDR4 GPU: Asus 3080 Strix PSU: Superflower Leadex 3 720w Case: BeQuiet 500DX

Storage: 2TB SSD + 4TB HDD Audio: SMSL 793ii -> HiFiman HE-400 + Mission MS-50 Speakers

Then get a Gigabyte Z87X-UD3/4/5H

Those are like $40 more than the one he choose.

I was looking at this one but I wasn't sure if it was of good quality. I think I'll probably end up going with this one

I appreciate your help, I remember you from when I first started on these forums. I think that sapphire card just went on sale, all depends on when I order my stuff tbh. The gigabyte one looks alright too. The gigabyte motherboards also look like they may be "too much" for me

There are certain 7950s that suffered a price cut so .... yeah...

If they are 'too much' then stick with the ASrock.

I didn't mean to insult you :O

I just meant it seems like I'd pay more for features I don't necessarily need, like they have SLI/Crossfire support but I don't need those because if I ever did upgrade I'd probably just get a 780.
